New Zealand Sponsorship INitiatives
Over $3 million in profits from the Tui Oil Field has been given to the Taranaki region over the past ten years. Many events, community groups, sports teams and local organisations have been recipients of sponsorship funds over this time. These are just a selection of some of the projects and groups that we have supported, past and present.
MARFELL SCHOOL BREAKFAST & CHRISTMAS LUNCH
|
Every two weeks, members of our New Plymouth office start the day by serving breakfast to students at Marfell Community School. Supported by the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Fonterra and New Plymouth Food Bank, the breakfast has been running at the low-decile school for over seven years, ensuring that disadvantaged pupils have breakfast so they can focus better at school. We have also put on a Christmas luncheon for the staff and students of Marfell Community School for the last two years. The whole team comes together to prepare the food and serve it to the school.

Working with the Taranaki Regional Council and Coastal School, native plants have been planted to bring wildlife back to the area. More than eight years on, the hard work proved valuable as many species of bird life have returned to the area. The focus of the council and school now has shifted to increasing public awareness of the nesting areas and keeping these areas safe from dogs and vehicles.
